As you can see from the picture above New Life jackets have been purchased and all the existing Life Jackets have been serviced . The Blue Life Jackets are for use by all under 16 s as they fit the juniors well, are not bulky and do not restrict their rowing . There are 3 full sets (12) ready for use .We also have spare sets if required. All Jackets are clearly marked WRC to help prevent loss as a number of clubs also use this type. There are also 10 Black Life Jackets that are more suited to adults and should be used for coxing or while in the safety boat. 
    All Life Jackets should be worn correctly and fit snugly. They should never be worn under any form of clothing especially while coxing .They must be treated with respect as they could save your life.They should not  be left lying around on the ground or in the bottom of a boat . They must always be returned to the hangers in the Storage area. All of the club Life Jackets are Automatic and will inflate when submerged in water . They can also accidentally inflate if they come into contact with water in the bottom of a boat or come into contact with a jet of water from a hose for example. These Life Jackets are expensive and it costs €30 to recharge one after an accidental inflation. So please be care full with them Thank you.
