Wicklow Rowing Club is based on the sea front in Wicklow town beside the North Pier . We operate all year round ( On the water weather permitting)  We cater for all ages from 10 years upwards .We offer Traditional fixed seat coastal rowing ,The exciting new International  Coastal /Offshore rowing Endurance and Beach sprints as well as national Coastal 4 type rowing. There is something for everyone if you want to compete at the highest level of competitive rowing or would just like to partake in recreational rowing. We have 5 east coast skiffs for traditional coastal  1 coastal 4 for national competitions and 5 FISA (World rowing coastal boats   2 x Quads 2 x Doubles and a single .

We also have a fully equipped Safety Boat (RHIB) and 4 certified level2 power boat operators .

We have a well-located clubhouse with changing rooms. toilets , boatstorage and an ERG room / Club room right on the beach .  The Skiff season runs from March to August whereas the Offshore rowing runs from February to October. 

We compete locally on the east coast in skiffs from Arklow up along the east coast to Balbrigan in north county Dublin  There are 10 skiff regattas which generally run from May to end of August.  Our Home regatta which first started in 1878 takes place on the August Bank holidy Monday. 

The offshore circuit is a national one with multiple events taking place in Cork Kerry  Antrim Wicklow and Donegal. There can be up to 12 events yearly.  There are also International and world championships each year held by World rowing. 

We have competed successfully in 3 world championships in 2021 Portugal, 2022 Wales and 2023 Italy.  Where we have had great success bringing home GOLD in Wales and Italy in the Men's Solo Thanks to Adrian Miramon Quiroga  who is currently the 5 times winner of Gold in The men's solo  Endurance and 2 time winner of Gold in the Beach sprints Men's Solo 

 We have 10 Rowing Ireland / Sport Ireland accredited coaches who are available cater to the needs of our members .
